Douglas Jimerson, CPA grew up in Pennsylvania and received his B.A. at Cornell University and his MBA at American University. He moved to Maryland in 1983 and began working with American Financial Consultants in Silver Spring as a Vice President of tax and asset diversification analysis. Over the next twenty-five years, Doug worked with financial advisors providing tax strategies and asset diversification advice to a broad clientele in the U.S. and Europe.

Doug has specialized as a tax accountant since 2011. He became a certified public accountant in 2015. Doug enjoys serving a diverse spectrum of individuals and businesses. His expertise is tax preparation for individuals and businesses, complemented by financial statement analysis and preparation.

Doug is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Maryland Society of Accounting and Tax Professionals, and Leadership Howard County.

  • In addition to his professional accounting activities, Doug is an active member of Christ Episcopal Church in Columbia, serving as tenor choir member and soloist and substitute organist and choir director. Outside the tax season, he performs American patriotic and historical music in nearby National Parks and historic sites.
